About

I’ve learned that there are two keys to successful parenting:

  1. Keep your expectations low.
  2. Consider any disasters to be good blogging fodder.

After weeks of wrestling with my almost-4-year-old daughter in order to get her appropriately dressed and out the door each morning, I finally applied Rule #1. The result? Happier mommy, happier Pippi — and some really stellar clothing choices. Which, of course, led directly to Rule #2. And here we are.

Turns out that the best fashion happens when we leave our kids to their own devices.

If you’d like to read more about Pippi, her brother Junius and whatever else is tumbling out of my head on any given day, you can find me at my convertible life.

If you have some spectacular i-dressed-myself fashion photos that you’d like to share with the world, leave a comment here and I’ll follow up with you.

Non-parent chiming in here: I love it when kids choose their outfits. You can always tell. Huzzah for letting kids express themselves!

If I can get my 3yo to actually wear clothes, I will join in.

Yes, I should probably confess that there’s a lot of running around in her Fancy Nancy drawers between costume changes. But we won’t be posting any of those pics on the interwebs.
